Nitrogen FixationNitrogen fixation is part of the nitrogen cycle that is when nitrogen in the air is "fixed" by nitrogen fixing bacteria. The fixing changes the nitrogens form and allows it to be used by plants and animals. Without fixed nitrogen, plants and animals would be unable to survive. It connects to the nitrogen cycle because it is a part of that cycle.
